Twitter is very new to me, but I got the main idea about it. I feel like it's very similar to Facebook because you can post comments and add people to follow which is kind of being friends with them. All-in-all my experience using twitter was difficult only because I don't really have enough time to sit and write things that are on my mind. Otherwise, I really think Twitter is an effective tool it the social networking world. Social networking is the new way to socialize with friends, future employers, and your family.
I really enjoy when I do have time reading other people's tweets because it gives me the chance to know whats going on or how people are doing. Having so many social networks such as Twitter, Facebook, and Blogger gets kind of confusing once in awhile. On the other hand, having a variety of networks provides me with the chance to make a presence so employers might notice me.
There were a few points that I really found interesting in the reading assignment on 25 reasons why someone should join twitter. Twitter makes connections was the first thing that caught my mind in this reading because in todays world it's all about the connections you make. It's not What you know, it's WHO you know and social networking is a great contributor to that. Another point in this reading was it's the next big thing. Every year theres always something that people have to be involved in and in todays world social networking is popular

Wierd, I wrote the same thing about it's not WHAT you know, it's WHO you know! Very true! Good points about Twitter:)
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. Twitter was not as bad as i expected it to be, but I'm sure some day I'll use it more.
ReplyDeleteGood points and I'm glad you could focus on and see the good of the assignment. It really is all about networking today and will continue to be so later in life. It is fun to read what's on others' minds and catch up on events that may have otherwise been missed.
ReplyDeleteGood points Ben
ReplyDeleteI agree that you will eventually grow to use it more, but as of right now we really see no benefit in it.
ReplyDeleteI also don't think I have enough time to sit down and tweet. Or at least as much as we were required to.
ReplyDeleteGood to point out the benefits but yea I agree, not that handy right now, just another distraction.
ReplyDeleteWay to list the benefits with reason to back them up.
ReplyDeleteIf only there were more time in the day. But then I would have to stop myself from sleeping more... hmm.
ReplyDeleteI agree, I don't have enough time to sit and tweet things all day long.
